MICHELLE A. CAMACHO

Attorney at Law

Michelle Camacho is a criminal defense attorney based in downtown San Diego.  Her practice focuses on all criminal matters.  Michelle has jury trial experience in criminal cases in both federal and state court, including high profile cases.  On the federal side, she has experience in cases involving drug trafficking, drug distribution, child pornography, possession of a firearm, wire fraud, illegal entry, and compassionate release.  In state court, she has handled cases involving murder, manslaughter, rape, child molestion, fraud, white collar fraud, controlled substances, resisting arrest, domestic violence, DUI, among others.  Michelle has also represented clients pre-indictment and has prevented the filing of charges. She also helps her clients with various forms of post-conviction relief, including motions to reduce felonies to misdemeanors, petitions for certificates of rehabilitation, petitions for dismissal, and appeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the State District Courts of Appeals. Representation at the appellate level requires extensive legal research and writing of original and complex briefings.

Attorney Camacho is admitted to practice law in the State of California and in the United District Court for the Southern District of California. In addition, she volunteers her time serving on the executive board of the Federal Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, and the American Constitution Society.
